Consular Timing;  Receipt: 10.30 AM-1 PM (Friday 10.30 AM-12.45PM)

Delivery: 3.00 PM-4.30 PM (On production of Receipt)(Timing changes during the month of Ramadan) 

How to apply: Application must be filled in duplicate along with 02(Two) copies of recent passport size photographs. Xeroxed copies of application forms are allowed provided both the side of the form are xeroxed. Incomplete application forms are not acceptable.

Visa Requirements:

Business Visa: A letter from the sponsored firm in UK highlighting the financial coverage along with another letter of invitation from the Bangladeshi firm mentioning the applicant's name and passport number should be furnished with the application form. 

Tourist Visa: A letter of invitation (original in letter heads) from the concerned Bangladesh firm or in case of personal invitation, bank statement of the concerned Bangladeshi national along with original invitation letter is needed. His address with telephone has to be specifically mentioned.

For any other category of visas relevant papers should be submitted from Bangladesh along with the application form.

Documentary evidence of identification in support of profession is a must. Note: Incomplete/incorrect application forms with insufficient documentation will be rejected without citing any reason.

Type of Visa. fees and processing time:  For applicant holding British Passport the visa fees will be:

Single entry (Max. 03 months) £ 40.00

Double entry (Max. 06 months) £52.00

Multiple witn03 (Three) entries (Max.06 months) £75.00

Multiple with 04(Four) entries (Max. -1 year) £ 104.00

Note: The visa processing time will be (03) three working days

Relevant information:

Health: Local GP's should be consulted before proceeding for Bangladesh for necessary vaccinations.

Customs formalities: Tourist Baggage rules are available in the Mission's Commerce Wing.

Currency: Currencies above US$5000 or equivalent must be declared to the customs in Bangladesh.
